The Institutions Committee provides those in our community, who are institutionalized for any reason, with hope and healing through the teachings and practice of Christian Science.

The committee currently provides Bible lessons to young people in a Juvenile Detention Center. It is a joy to witness their active interest in things spiritual and a yearning to know more about God and Christ Jesus. At the end of discussing the 10 Commandments, a Bible story or parable, or the Christian Science textbook, there are always students who want a copy of either the Bible or Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy or both (which we provide). It is common for the students to request prayer and to thank us for coming.

At this time we serve the Seminole County Juvenile Detention Center.
